Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs confident over Sessegnon

There are now less than three weeks left in the transfer window - and Tottenham are expected to still be busy over the remaining days.

Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele in a club record move from Lyon, but the Lilywhites continue to be linked with a number of other players as well.

As such, there could still be several incomings and outgoings over the next few weeks. Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours.

Christian Eriksen

After considering moves for both James Rodriguez and Christian Eriksen, Atletico Madrid have reportedly prioritised a move for the Colombia international.

According to Marca, Eriksen was the top candidate at one stage, but at the moment Rodriguez is their main choice, as he would cost around €40m, while Eriksen is valued by Spurs at around €60m-€70m despite having just one year left on his contract.

After a two-year loan deal at bayern Munich, James has returned to Real Madrid, but knows his time at the Bernabeu is up. Zinedine Zidane has asked the club to seal the player’s exit as soon as possible to avoid a saga developing similar to that of Gareth Bale.

Napoli have also been eyeing James, but the playmaker looks set to seal a move to Atletico this summer.

Ryan Sessegnon

Spurs are reportedly confident of sealing a move for Ryan Sessegnon this summer at a knockdown price.

The 19-year-old was valued by Fulham at £40m at the start of this summer, but according to the Standard, Spurs are confident of sealing a deal worth £25m for the left-back.

This is likely to include bonus payments and add-ons, so the upfront fee could be closer to £20m.

Sessegnon has just one year left on his contract, giving Spurs a strong negotiating position. Despite interest from the likes of PSG, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, the England Under-21 international is thought to be keen to stay in London.

Danny Rose

Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on landing Tottenham Hotspur outcast Danny Rose during the transfer window.

The Mail state that Sarri, now in charge of Juventus, wants to bring the 29-year-old England international to Turin for the new season.

Rose stayed behind from Spurs’ pre-season tour to negotiate an exit, with a number of clubs being attributed with an interest.
